Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that they have handed Uganda International goalkeeper, Denis Onyango a new deal.
The club announced yesterday that Liberian Anthony Laffor put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at the club. Now, the club has confirmed another long-term contract for 31-year-old Denis Onyango.
“Sundowns have also tied down goalkeeper Denis Onyango, who signed a four year contract extension,” Sundowns confirmed on their official website.
Onyango has played a crucial role in Mamelodi Sundowns’ illustrious campaign, where the team went all the way to win the 2015/16 Absa Premiership title and were crowned CAF Champions League winners.
The shot-stopper has also put up stellar performances for the Ugandan national team, who recently took part in the 2017 Africa Cup Of Nations which was held in Gabon.
Onyango's recent performances earned him the CAF African Based Player of the Year award recently, and Sundowns will be happy to hold onto a player that seems to be in his prime.
