UGANDA CRANES; FUFA Contacts Belgian Coach To Replace Defiant Micho

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) have contacted Beligian and former Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael over the possible vacancy with the national team.

Micho flew to Ethiopia on Tuesday after a heated meeting with FUFA officials over unpaid salary arrears and bonuses totaling to UGX230 million (US$64,000). His driver reveled that Micho told him he will spend 3 days in Ethiopia and then after connect to South Africa where he is expected to join PSL side, Orlando Pirates.


Eymael revealed that FUFA have requested his CV as they line up a replacement in case 'Micho' does in fact quit the Ugandan national team, which he lead to their first AFCON finals in 38 years earlier this year.

"They [FUFA] already contacted me yesterday [Wednesday], in case of separation with 'Micho' [Sredojevic],"  Eymael tells website. "[But] it's not yet done with 'Micho'."

Pressed for further details the Belgian tactician refused to divulge his discussions with the Ugandan FA, but confirmed that their intention is to consider him for the head coach position.

"If they asked for my file [CV], it is for that [head coach] and not to pump balls," he adds. "I can't say more than what I just told you, [because] Micho's seperation is not yet finalised with Fufa.

"My file is there [with FUFA], like I told you. It seems they are interested, but I can't say more now."
