Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic “Micho” has terminated contract with FUFA as the head coach of Uganda Cranes. Micho said he is quitting the over unpaid salary and arrears mounting to UGX230 million (US$64,000).  During today’s press conference held at Kabira Country club micho said;

Micho during today's press conference at Kabira country club
Termination of my contract happened last night. I tried & nothing happened about my arrears ($64000). I have no regrets, I know my physical absence will be felt but I know with all my heart I will still be part of this country.

As always, I felt privileged to work in front of you. I was always wishing to deliver something. That of making millions of Ugandans happy.

I did everything under full accountability, transparency and confidence. A million apologies to Ugandans

I would have loved to take the team to the World Cup in Russia. This is not possible unfortunately. I have stretchered human and practical limits with FUFA. I have my values which needed to be respected. I had never even missed any training session with Uganda Cranes.

I thank all the captains I have worked with. Andy Mwesigwa, Geofrey Massa,Dennis Onyango, Tonny Mawejje and many others

All Uganda Cranes players I have worked with have a presidential suite in my heart

I have had 8 offers, Uganda is the 9th. At the moment, I will not consider national team offers. I will now seek for rehabilitation. Just like some one break ups with some woman whom you have been in love with, I seek rehabilitation.

Uganda still has a VVIP apartment in my heart. You are still a DNA in my body I am happy to leave as the minister in charge of happiness for many Ugandans. Life goes on. I want to thank God and my Namungoona church.

Since taking over Uganda Cranes job in May 2013, Micho took the Cranes to 2014 and 2016 Africa Nations Championship, won 2015 regional Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup and helped the national team qualify for 2017 African Nations Cup for the first time since 1978.
