KENYA VOTES: NASA orders IEBC to confirm Odinga President basing on independent tally results

The opposition NASA have demanded Kenya electoral body IEBC confirm Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka President and Vice President.

Odinga is trailing President Uhuru Kenyatta in the provisional results being posted by the IEBC, which the opposition have vehemently protested in a news conference on Wednesday morning and Thursday.

The opposition despite observers from both AU and European Union hailing the IEBC, took a divergent position at a news conference addressed by former Vice President Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi Thursday afternoon.

Mudavadi in his message to IEBC, demanded: "We demand that Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka be declared president and vice president immediately."

He said: "Raila has 8.04m votes and Uhuru has 7.75m votes. This data was given to us by a confidential sources from IEBC."

Mudavadi added: "What we showed you yesterday was manipulation of results. What we are telling you today is information from IEBC database."

The NASA politician said: "We are not going to do IEBC's job of declaring winners but we hope when the time comes, they do it right."

He urged: "We are not calling for chaos. We are appealing to the public that the numbers published by."

Mudavadi on the results, said: "The results being published by IEBC through their national tallying center are a fraud based on a hacked system."

Earlier the African Union led by former South African President Thabo Mbeki and the European Union hailed the performance of IEBC in organising the election.
