How, why plain clothed operatives re-arrested Kaweesi murder suspects

Security operatives clad in plain cloth shocked motorists, pedestrians when they pounced on one of the released suspects in the brutal fallen Felix Kaweesi murder at Nakawa in Kampala.

Nakawa Magistrates Court freed eight suspects of the fifteen still languishing in Luzira but five of them were way laid by security operatives and returned to different police cells.

Ahmed Shaban Senfuka was one of the seven suspects granted bail by Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Noah Sajabi, who was followed by security operatives after his lawyer helped him on to a motor bike.

However, security operatives who sniffed his moves right from the court, jumped on to a saloon car and chased after him.

On arrival at the busy Spear Motors junction, the operatives jumped out of their car and ordered the motorist to stop.

Ssenfuka who was accompanied by a relative on the motor bike had three operatives, one armed with a pistol, battle to grab him and bundle him on to the waiting saloon car.

 A scuffle ensued with onlookers helplessly witnessing the fight to get the suspect into the car.

Efforts for Ssenfuka to call for support from the onlookers went on deaf ears as the operatives maintained their composure to overpower him even when he tried to sneak from them.

Others re-arrested include; Musa Ntende, Ibrahim Kisa, Majidu Ojerere, Umar Maganda, Hassan Tumusiime and Magambo Hamidu. 

The suspects had been ordered by court to report back on November 23.

However, sources say the re-arrested suspects according to security have links with rebel outfit Alied Defence Forces ADF.
