This is not animal farm: Gen. Guti tells Nixon he must eat from same plate as others

Court Martial has told off police detective Nixon Agasirwe they will not entertain the 'animal farm' in the ongoing case where he together with others are accused of kidnapping former President Paul Kagame body gaurd and other Rwandan fugitives.

Nixon was arrested this month by CMI after investigations pointed fingers at him and several other senior police officers.

The once all-powerful Gen. Kale Kayihura's right hand man through his lawyer Frank Kanduho demanded court hears the cases separately.

Nixon and his colleagues sneaked out of the country Lt. Joel Mutabazi in 2013 before he was arraigned in court and sentenced to life in prison and stripped of his hard-earned rank.

Another of his lawyers Caleb Alaka's pleas for bail application for the accused six to be heard all went into deaf ears as Gen. Guti moved the court into adjournment.

Alaka in his submissions also demands the accused to be tried in civil court.

However, Court Martial insists the accused used guns during the time they conducted the kidnaps of several people.

Others charged in several kidnaps include Joel Aguma, the Commandant of Professional Standard Unit, Sgt Abel Tumukunde of Flying Squad, James Magada who works with Crime Intelligence, Faisal Katende of Flying Squad, Amon Kwarisima, Rene Rutagungira a Rwandan National and Bahati Mugenga a Congolese National.

Court adjourned the case to December 4 when the bail application will be heard.
