Uganda football governing body, FUFA has this afternoon unveiled a 41 year old French national, Desabre Sebastien as the new Cranes coach replacing Milutin Sredojevic Micho who left in July 2017 over unpaid wages.

Desabre who resigned as the head coach at Egyptian club, Ismaily after 5-0 victory over El-Raja on Wednesday, flew in today at midday and was directly taken to FUFA headquarters in Mengo for unveiling.

He will be assisted by Matia Lule & Fred Kajooba as goalkeeping coach.

FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson revealed that they received 92 applications and among, 5 applicants were Ugandans. He also stated that the terms of the contract are confidential and can’t be revealed to the media.
Desabre Sebastien has managed; ASEC Mimosas (Cote D’Ivoire), CS Garoua (Cameroon),  ES Tunis (Tunisia), Clube Recreativo Desportivo Libolo (Angola), Dubai Club (United Arab Emirates4), JS Saoura (Algeria), Wydad Athletic Club (Morocco) and lately Ismaily in Egypt.

His first task will be to lead Uganda Cranes at the 2018 Total Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) which runs from January 13th to February 4th in Morocco.
Uganda will play along side Zambia, Namibia and Cote dÍvoire in Group B.
