New Cranes boss Desabre’s charges pulled off a significant draw against Guinea Saturday night ahead of their Zambia opener at the CHAN tournament in Rabat, Morocco.

Cranes are placed in group B together with two African powerhouses Ivory Coast and Zambia plus unknown Namibia.

Bright Stars forward Nelson Senkatuka leveled matters for Desabre’s outfit after Guinea had taken the lead in the 65th minute.

The Frenchman was forced to deploy a second striker to beef up the attack which had only Milton Karisa. It took Senkatuka who came on for Tadeo Lwanga, just 8 minutes to save face with a well taken goal.

Desabre armed himself with two playmakers in Sadam Juma and Alan Kyambadde in this test match.

The Cranes are expected to play Cameroon in another friendly before CHAN kick off.
