Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has finally paid off former national coach, Milutin ‘Micho’Sredojevic’s debt of Shs194 million (US$54,000).

Micho who succeeded Bobby Williamson in May 2013 resigned on July 29th, 2017 over unpaid arrears of US$54,000.

Today during a press conference at FUFA House in Mengo, FUFA’s head of Finance, Decolas Kiiza confirmed that they have settled Micho’s debt.

“We are happy to announce that we have finally paid the debt of UGX194 million (US$54,000) to Sredojevic. We received US$20,000 from the government and the balance of US$34,000 who got from our reserves to pay the debt,” said Decolas Kiiza, FUFA’s head of Finance during a press briefing at the headquarters in Mengo.

Micho, now a manager at South African Premier League side, Orlando Pirates Football Club, will be remembered for guiding Uganda Cranes to 2017 Africa Cup of nations having taken 39 years without going to the tournament.

He also guided The Cranes to 2014 and 2016 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) and won 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup
