Police in Kampala have stormed schools to avert crime by spreading awareness on kidnaps, violence and robbers.

The campaign according to police is aimed at discouraging young people from engaging in unlawful acts, but rather play a significant role in reporting and preventing crimes.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Michael Kasigire, the District Police Commander Kira Road Division engaged about 500 students of Kololo Senior Secondary School in community policing discussions which included awareness in fighting against kidnap tendencies, domestic violence, civil disobedience, sexual harassment and use of narcotic drugs.

SP. Kasigire who was accompanied by the OC. Saddler Way IP. Kalyegira, cautioned students on the allegedly unbecoming behaviours of simple robberies and student – thug connivance to terrorize motorists during traffic jam where a lot of citizens have lost lots of personal effects.
