Young but seasoned TV personality Sheila Carol Gashumba, is a gem to the Ugandan Music Industry – undoubtedly. From her time at the now defunct WBS TV as a child presenter, the petite fashion killer has built fame for herself. As it is that you cannot eat your cake and have it, Sheila hasn’t enjoyed much of her privacy. According to a Facebook post she published yesterday, much of what is said and written about her holds no water.

In a hard-hitting Facebook post, Sheila set the record straight

“I never come out to address blogs or newspapers but I can’t run away from reality sometimes.

It’s very sad that in the country we live in today, the media would rather promote falsehoods than positive career stories.” The Lil Stunner wrote.

“I love the Ugandan music industry and the music but that doesn’t mean I have anything extra to do with it.”

“As good as my memory remembers, I have never come out to openly talk about my relationship with anyone. I have never dated anyone in Uganda and randomly the blogs always tag me with all these different people. My life revolves around my career and family. I must admit I have grown up working in the entertainment industry which means associating with both males and females in the industry but that doesn’t mean I have extra personal relationships with any of them.

Sheila became famous at a very tender age

On Sunday, I shared with you my Facebook fans how I started miming and dancing to songs at the age of 10 and people used to tip me money until I bought my first phone that was a pink Motorola, who knew about that!! No one right!! Which newspapers wrote about that!! Only Galaxy Fm!! Did you know that I started Mceeing in school since P.3, from sports days, to MDD To speech days. I participated in all activities at school and I used to make sure I was good at everything, from music to dance to sports to art, name it. I didnt start my journey yesterday And the media would rather write all types of nonsense on my name.”

The lengthy post couldn’t reach this point without her going headfirst at her apparent pursuers.

“So it’s high time I make this clear, I need the media to put some respect on my name, stop writing all kind of rubbish to sell your blogs or newspapers!! I didnt grow my brand in one day and my dad didnt invest all the money in my life for you guys to wakeup and just write any kind of nonsense!! If I don’t come out publically about something that means it either doesn’t exist or it isn’t happening.”

“I wish you could give as much time to the powerful stories that I have as much as the negative stories.”

“I have a big story that I would love to share with the world about how I started and where I am today, the journey in general. One that is full of honest and that can inspire someone but I can’t do that if you don’t allow me or give me the space to. My life has never revolved around dating and it will never.

A book about my life will be published soon and a tv show coming soon too. Watch the space!!” She concluded.

“Stop creating illusions around people’s brands and I repeat, RESPECT MY NAME AND BRAND.”

Now for y’all that thought she is Fik Fameica’s ‘Property’, she just shoved an L right down your throats. But let’s look at the bright side: this implies Sheila is single and clearly not interested in celebs! Local people like me can now shoot our shots, I guess.
