Army uniforms have been used in Uganda Showbiz for quite some time now. Ever since the glory days of legends like Ragga Dee, the early days of Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleon, Bobi Wine and the ilk, all their crew members had military camouflage uniforms; for video shoots, performances and/or simply daily wearing.

Back in the day, no significant pressure was applied to stop artists from using military camouflage uniforms, but owing to the increased number of users lately, including public figures like Bryan White and Frank Gashumba, and events like the burial of The Late Mowzey Radio; where camouflage full combat was witnessed, Police has struck with a bang.

To lovers of military wear like Dr. Jose Chameleon, Police’s directive of banning use of these clothes by civilians was baseless. Chameleon took to his Twitter to refute,

”I use them by right!!! Th uniform ain’t theirs. It’s a national one as long as you use it right!!!!!!! I will keep going coz nationalism doesn’t matter the rules. #Soldierfor life” The Leon Island Boss stressed.
