BIG LEAGUE PLAY OFF
Full Time Result
Paidha 0(4)-(2)0 Kitara
Paidha Black Angels have joined Onduparaka as the second team from the West Nile region to play in the top flight Uganda Premier League Sunday afternoon at Phillip Omondi Memorial Stadium in Lugogo.
In a pulsating affair, both Paidha and Kitara failed to hit the back of the net as the match officials sought for next course of action.
The deadlock forced the match officials to call for the penalty spot kicks as both set of teams prepared themselves for the heartbreak.
Paidha, a town known for its thriving fish business, had its team successfuly convert four of their chances leaving Kitara FC with only two.
The traveling fans displayed placards showing how the thirty nine year wait had come to a climax.
A huge party of activities erupted at the stadium after the penalty kicks.
Coach Allan Kabonge just made history again for Paidha Black Angels.
Several Onduparaka faithful have taken to social media to welcome the neighbours to the top flight.
