Team Uganda at the commonwealth games in Australia has so far performed beyond everyone’s expectations after Joshua Cheptei and Stella Chesang won Gold while Mercyline Chelangat brought home Bronze.
News coming in now indicate how Team Uganda in boxing is guaranteed another Bronze medal after Bomber Juma miiro beat Kenya’s Shaffi Hassan in the quarter finals stage in a split point decision(3-2) to progress to the semifinals where he will face India’s Amit.
In boxing the two losers in the semifinals are considered 3rd placed finishers hence a bronze for each but Bomber Juma has an opportunity to go on and even win Gold
