It seems a huge section of local artists are not impressed by how local deejays prefer playing foreign ziki to UG’s. Big guns like Jose Chameleone, Big Size Bebe Cool and Bad Bobi Wine are also irritated in the same manner.
Chamili even reached to an extent forming a group; Save UG music which aimed at demanding for more air play from DJ’s in night clubs and media stations.
Now latest to bash those particular defiant DeeJays who snub local ziki is none other than OS aka Omulangira Ssuuna.
While being hosted on Bukedde TV recently OS exploded out his anger and dissatisfaction towards DeeJay’s saying that if his songs are played on international TV stations like Trace and MTV it means they are massive.
“You are a dog if you don’t play my songs.My songs are not substandard because are even played on Trace and MTV.” OS charged.
He continued to lament,
“I sometimes chill in a club just to see if a Deejay can play any of my song but instead they play Techno’s. Why would you prefer a foreign song yet won’t earn any coin from it?”
