After realising that court won’t help much in recovering USD 300,000 he lent to city socialite, Jack Pemba, City businessman, Godfrey Kirumira has decided to sell cars Pemba staked as collateral security while borrowing. The adverts appearing in newspapers show Jack Pemba’s cars ownership being transferred and re-registered into another person’s names.
The cars in question are; Toyota Landcruiser registered as Mr Pemba, Range Rover registered as Only Pemba and a Hummer H2 registered as UAY 252N.
Pemba refused to pay claiming his cars were being driven around.
“They depreciated in value, and that really annoyed me. Kirumira rented out my cars to weddings and even crashed the Land cruiser” Pemba insisted.
Pemba is rumoured to have fled the country after the high court issued warrant of arrest.
