The word “Kwangwaru” has no specific meaning and was coined by Mondi and his boys. It was first used in his song “Salome” a rendition of Saida Karoli’s “Wanchekecha” on which he was featured by Rayvanny, another artist signed to his label.

Diamond’s artist Rayvanny(holding a girl) coined the word for their Salome duet

“Kwangwaru just talks about letting yourself loose – in order to dance or something.” Says Harmonize, The owner of the song. It is also believed that its lyrics have a sexual theme, even though the subject matter is very subtle and idiomatic.
