The similarity between socialites that have been coming to Uganda, is the uncorroborated origin of their wealth, and their sudden disappearance after their glory days. Moneybags Brian Kirumira aka Bryan White is a big exception to the latter! Even though the source of his wealth is still debatable, Mr. White has managed to splash more money over a long time without retiring – unlike the Mike Ezras, Bad Blacks and Zaris of this world.
Ever since he forged his way into this country’s Showbiz scene about 7 months ago, Bryan has with no relenting whatsoever, managed to bankroll celebrities to push his rather ambiguous agenda; through his Bryan White Foundation. On a sad note though, Ugandans have still failed to fancy him like they did to his predecessors; all because of the same question of where he gets all the money he lackadaisically blows. Allegations, including those of him being a project of the state, have made him try to explain his ‘Italy story’ which unfortunately has a plethora of contradictions.
Laboring to explain where his “White” name came from; through his Facebook page, Bryan ended up stating – perhaps inadvertently – that his late mother died in 1994 in Italy, and then again in 1997 in Uganda. This caused his message meant to clear the air, to instead add more fog to it.
No need to over-explain yourself, Mzee. It’s your money: just frivol away!
