President Yoweri Museveni finally unleashed to the nation a long kept secret about his fallen university roommate James Wapakhabulo and wife Angelina Wapakhabulo at the couple’s son prayers at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero.

President Museveni went to Dar es Salam University in Tanzania and were roommates before taking on the challenge to take on President Idd Amin in the 1970s.

The President revealed: “Yona’s parents Angelina and James Wapakhabulo (the late) got together after I continuously discouraged James from a relationship he had with an Israeli lady.”

On his days with the late: “The late Wapakhabulo was my college roommate and a member of the University Student & African Revolutionary Front, which I chaired. So in a way, these are my children as well.”

President Museveni and wife joined mourners at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero for the requiem service of the late Yona Namawa Wapakhabulo who passed on early this week.
