John Nagenda is ‘amazed’ by the treatment politicians and a journalist were subjected to beatings.
Bobi Wine, Francis Zaake and journalist James Akena were admitted with severe wounds after alleged beatings by security forces after the chaotic Arua by-election.
Nagenda in an interview with NBS TV, urged: “I have been amazed how badly the people have been treated. To see somebody kneeling down and been caned by army people or police. This is completely out of question. We must immediately apologize.”
The Presidential advisor on media, went on: “Change must always come. If we think change is not necessary we are going to end up like comrade Mugabe and that is what we don’t want to happen at all.”
