Major Gen. Mugisha Muntu has warned that President Yoweri Museveni’s way of management affects the efforts of people who work for him.
Gen. Muntu appeared on NBS TV political show ‘Frontline’ along with government spokesman Ofwono Opondo.
The former army commander, now opposition leader, said: “Gen. Museveni is a micromanager, and that’s one of his greatest weakness, he wants to be everywhere. Characteristics of his methods. That is the one of the biggest weaknesses he has in terms of management. You can not be everywhere.”
He went on: “The tendency is that the professional officers who are already in fear would have briefed you but they also can’t because they’re in fear.”
Gen. Muntu pointed out: Then the issue of politicizing, there are very many good officers who would be able to reverse the situation if given a good budget and the opportunity to work.
