While many are still struggling to come to terms with the demise of the youngest of Mayanja brothers, Emmanuel Mayanja popularly known as AK47 who was on 16th March 2015 found in the Kabalagala based Dejavu Pub(now closed), lying in a pool of blood, his relatives have revealed that preparations are underway for the memorial service this Saturday.
AK-47 was on that day pronounced dead on arrival at Nsambya hospital. He was allegedly found lying on the floor of Dejavu Pub washroom, shortly after 9pm . Fellow musician Diamond Oscar then said that they rushed the singer to Nsambya hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Now, barely three years down the road ever since the mysterious death of Uganda’s youthful and fast rising musician Ak47, the late’s family is still mourning for the great loss inflicted on them ever since they learnt of the demise of their last born.
According to the late’s mother Prossy Musoke Mayanja and father Emmanuel Mayanja , there will be a tribute night at Chameleon’s DNA club in Kololo today. Thereafter, the family members will head to Nallujju in Mityana for a memorial service on Saturday.
Last year, on 17th December, the Mayanja musical family led by elder sons Humphrey Mayanja and Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone joined the rest of the family to visit and pay tribute to their former member and singer at his grave yard in Mityana district last.
The dancehall singer left behind three children including a pair of beautiful twins who are said to be currently doing well .
At just 24, the singer had an eventful but short life, first coming into the limelight in as the little boy in big brother Jose Chameleone’s Dorotia video.
