Aaron Wan-Bissaka wants to move to Manchester United this summer but Crystal Palace are continuing to play hardball over his valuation.
Sportsmail revealed last week that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his heart set on the Palace right back but saw the club’s initial £40million bid rejected by the Eagles.
Now according to Sky Sports, the player remains keen to make the summer switch to Old Trafford but has not put in a transfer request to force a move.
The report states that Solskjaer and United are looking to return with an improved offer for the player as they are determined to land him.
Palace will not sell for less than £50m but their valuation of the 21-year-old is closer to £70m.
The south London club are in the driving seat as they are under no pressure to cash in on one of their prized assets.
Wan-Bissaka is under contract with Palace until 2022 and so only a sizeable fee will seal a move away following a strong campaign.
United want a fresh face to come in at right back with long-serving winger-turned-defender Antonio Valencia leaving. The club also want to cash in on Matteo Darmian.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Thomas Meunier represents an alternative option to Wan-Bissaka but United are keen to bring in homegrown talent this summer as Solskjaer overhauls the squad.
The Old Trafford side have already recruited Welsh winger Daniel James from Swansea in an £18m deal.
