Giving back to the community is in Galaxy Fm’s DNA. The Kasanga based radio station commonly known as ‘Abazinyi’ has today given back to it’s audience by giving a huge sum of money to Nakifuma Red stars football club to fund them in their day to day running of the club.

Receiving this money has been the team manager of the club who doubles as the captain Mr. Kimbugwe Abdul commonly known as Buddu in the surburbs of Nakifuma.

Immediately after receiving this money, Kimbugwe ‘Buddu’ Abdul has thanked Galaxy fm for the support extended to their team and this money is to help them register the team in FUFA so as to legally take part in the FUFA second division league that is yet to start in the few coming days.

Handing over this money on behalf of Galaxy fm is the Branding and Promotions Manager of the station DJ Nimrod who happens to be a presenter of the evening show ‘The Evening Rush’

Nimrod says, “it’s always our routine to give out jerseys and sometimes money to teams we normally have friendlies with”

It is not the first time we are carrying out such an initiative, we have given out jerseys to teams like Namuyenje, Ggaba, Kajjansi among others and we shall keep doing the same.

Abdul says, they want to start up a ladies football team as well as a football academy that will enable them feed the senior team.

Nakifuma Red stars has played preparation games with the likes of Nateete fc, Nabweeru fc, Galaxy fm among others.

Nakifuma Redstars is set to host it’s games on Namwoya stadium located in Nakifuma Nagalama town council and it will have it’s friendly game on 24th November 2019 against Nakivubo boys.

Kimbugwe Abdul a.k.a Buddu says they are sure it will be easy for them to get promoted to the regional league with the trust of their star players in the names of Hobitre Emma, Ivan Kaddu, Nandabi Sula among others.
