Police in Kampala has arrested KCCA Fc Nigerian striker, John Odemwegu over what has been termed as unlawful confinement of three girls in his house.

The forward, 25 years old, who resides in Mutungo Bbiina, was arrested on charges of unlawful confinement.

Police Spokesperson Fred Ebbanga says that the forward unlawful confined three girls who are students of MUBS at his apartment for 10 hours.

“The suspect had invited his girlfriend who came in the company of two other girlfriends at his rented home” Enanga says.

At around 9pm, when the girls asked yo leave, he refused them, confiscated their phones and unlawful confined them for 10 hours from 9pm on 7th/12/2019 until 7am on the following day of 8th/12/2019.

Police has identified the girls as Grace Nakibuuka, Margaret Namutebi and Joan Mirembe, all students of MUBS.

“Two if their phones were grabbed and switched off, while the third phone were unanswered” Enanga added.

Odumegwu I being detained at the territorial police at Jinja road and expected to appear to court soon.

Odumegwu got his debut with KCCA away from home when they lost to Tooro United in a game where he managed to win a penalty that was later missed by Mike Mutyaba.

Odumegwu has only scored one goal that was against Maroons and has managed to play 8 out of the 11 games KCCA has played in the league thus starting four.
