Former Uganda Cranes and Sports Club Villa coach Multin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has been appointed the new headcoach of the Zambia national football team.
The Serbian tactician who has been on the Zambian Football Association wanted list since last year has been contracted to lead the “Chipolopolo” for a period of two years but renewable.
Micho takes over from Mumamba Numba who has been the caretaker of the national team after the departure of the Belgian Sven Vandenbroeck who left the team earlier this year.
The 50 year old has previously coached the Uganda national team and he will always be remembered for having helped the Cranes to reach AFCON Finals in 2017 after 39 years.
The “Wolf of Serbia” later joined SouthAfrica’s Orlando Pirates before crossing to Egypt’s Zamalek where he was dismissed in December.
Micho will be assisted by two local coaches though he is also carrying a personal assistant with him.
