The two ninjas that caused a dramatic scene at parliament last month when they jumped on the parliamentary chambers and attacked MPS have been further remanded.

While appearing before the Buganda road court, Grade One Magistrate Fatuma Nabirye sent the frail-looking duo Dafala Ssenjako and Charles Mutaasa Kafeero back to prison and ordered the prison authorities to take the suspects for medical treatment.

This was after the two pleaded for treatment claiming they were sick.

Nabirye who was forced to remand the suspects urged their lawyer Eron Kiiza to file an application seeking a review of their bail terms before the Chief Magistrate at Buganda road.

On February 25th, 2020 the Grade One Magistrate granted the two a cash bail of 1 million shillings and asked them to deposit their original national IDs.

However, after remitting the bail money, they were unable to deposit their National IDs which they say they lost during their arrest.

Detective Sergeant Alex Jurua from parliament told the court on Thursday that they only had photocopies of the suspects’ national identity cards.

On February 19th, 2020 the two men attacked parliament when they jumped from the stranger’s gallery in parliament to the floor of the august house at about 4 pm.

The dramatic men stirred chaos in the house when they randomly started punching MPS forcing a fistfight as MPs retaliated by fighting back.

The two men who wore red-tops were both linked to the red top brigade movement.

They entered parliament with a letter titled “A letter to Africa and Uganda, stop cropping out citizens,” in which they protest against President, Yoweri Museveni’s regime and Corruption.

They were arrested and charged with four counts, two for malicious damage to property and the other two for criminal trespass.
