President Yoweri Museveni who is also the commander of the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces has promoted over 20 army officers to different ranks, Galaxy FM reports

11 Brigadiers who are due for retirement were promoted to the rank of Major General while 24 colonels were promoted to the rank of Brigadier

Five lieutenant colonels were promoted to the rank of a Colonel as it was reported that there would be no any decoration ceremony due to the raging coronavirus
