There has always been a narrative that Tanzanian musicians have an edge over their East African counterparts when it comes to social media and the number of people following them online.

One of the reasons that has always been fronted is that Tanzanian Data charges are way cheaper compared to say Uganda and Kenya.

Apart from the readily available internet, analysts also say Tanzania not only has a big population compared to other East African countries but majority of it’s young people have embraced the power of the internet

To put it in perspective, Diamond Platinumz’s new recruit has managed to out do Bebe Cool whose subscription stands at 91,000, King Saha who currently stands at 39,000 and Spice Diana who commands only 99,000 subscribers

Zuchu’s recent achievement goes a long way in explaining how far Uganda has been left behind in as far as social media is concerned
