Tanzania President John Paul Magufuli has blasted Chinese testing kits as fake.
Tanzania is a hot spot for Corona Virus in the region with cases hitting the 400 mark.
President Magufuli was addressing the nation to update on the Covid-19 fight.
He said: “Some of the testing kits donated to Africa are fake. The animal, bird and fruit samples secretly sent to the National lab returned positive for the coronavirus – including a bird, a goat and pawpaw.”

It goes thus: You will have to do more research on the activities of the National Referral Laboratory!
This is because we don’t how they making their reports on the COVID 19 tests. As you know the issue of Corona Virus is a war.
It is possible that certain people and some of our facilities like that laboratory are being used in this war. This is why they reporting results that neither here nor there.
Having understood their operations, I convened my security personnel and the new PS of MOH to find a solution to this challenge. So, we decided to get our own samples without them knowing.
We got samples from used car oil, goats, rabbits, pawpaw and fenne and submitted them.
