Aspiring Kampala City Lord mayor Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone is beginning to taste the bitter fruits of joining active politics.
Earlier today morning, ruthless Police cops used extreme force to block the official launch of his political command center in Lubaga division along Balintuma road.
Chameleone and his handlers had anticipated a smooth ride but Cops who had deployed heavily couldn’t allow anything to go one!
As soon as he stepped out of the office, he and People Power activists who had flocked at the office premises were teargassed to disperse them.
According to the police, the event organizers did not respect any SOPs as they were found packed at the venue.
Chameleone took it to his official facebook page and lamented;
“Our office launch has been interrupted. As I planned to also launch my task force that will in hand walk with me to the coming Lord Mayor elections. Question is What is our crime?
Is opening a campaign office an offense? Whatever is in their minds? We can’t be stopped regardless of the physical attack on me and many other colleagues including the press at our premises.
This is Mission 2021 where all Ugandans are very vigilant and won’t be stopped.
We shall communicate our next course of action.
