Gerald Mulokozi a police constable attached to Mukono Police Division is battling for his life in hospital after he stormed a bar full of drunkards and threatened to arrest them.

Mulokozi received an emergency call directing him to the Nana sub-county, Mukono district where people were defying presidential directives by operating several bars.

He was part of the patrol team that had responded to an emergency on police vehicle registration number UP 2619.

Mulokozi and company met the wrath of over 13 drunkards when he attempted to spoil their bliss with orders to get out and close shop.

It is then that stones started flying abruptly in his direction hitting him and other police officers in all his sensitive body parts until a number of them landed on his head rendering him unconscious.

The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire, says is admitted to CPR medical center in Mukono nursing serious wounds to the head and eyes plus other body parts after being assaulted by drunkards.

“As they tried to encounter them. Stones started flying from all over. He was hit on the head and he lost his radio call, 13 people including the bar owners have since been arrested in connection to the attack. We have been able to recover the Walkie talkie from the defense secretary.” he said
