Shortly after protestors in the heart of Kampala city went Bazar on Wednesday afternoon, hundreds of protesters in other parts of the country have also decided to follow suit.

The angered protestors were demonstrating against the inhumane way that the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine was arrested and whisked off to Nalufenya.

What started off as minimal protests in Kampala have since spread to other parts of the city and country with incidents of teargas and gunshots being witnessed.

In Kampala, protests have expanded to Kansanga, Kamwokya, Wandegeya, Kisseka Market with the anti-riot police, Military, and LDU’s who are firing tear gas and live bullets to disperse the crowds.

The teargas has since spread countrywide to include Masaka, Kampala, Jinja, Iganga, Arua among others.

They are demanding that government unconditionally releases Bobi Wine who was brutally arrested in Luuka and detained at Nalufenya in Jinja.

Bobi Wine was expected to take his campaign message to the districts of Luuka, Buyende and Kamuli in Busoga Sub Region on Wednesday but was arrested by Military and Police who also dispersed his supporters in Luuka District.
