Polly Namaye, Uganda Police Deputy Spokesperson has rubbished as false, claims that she personally declared intentions to resign from the force following Bobi Wine’s arrest.
In a tweet on the handle in her name, Namaye writes that;
”When you talk you die, and when you keep quiet you die… We took an oath to the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda and not to any individual.”She added.
This tweet blew up social media, garnering lots of responses, some sarcastic, and others celebrating.
However, Namaya has clarified that the message of resigning was from a fake account.
She says some unscrupulous people using a parody Twitter Account- @bnamaye1 alleged that she was resigning from her job because of the militarization of the force.
Responding in her official Twitter handle, Namaye asserts that are fake baseless propaganda.
Namaye adds that she has no plans anytime soon to quit the force.
