Capt Mike Mukula, the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) vice-chairman eastern region was in the Bugisu region when he ridiculed Bobi wine’s papers as a joke for someone vying for the presidency.

He was with the NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni to look for votes in the region on Wednesday.

Mukula insinuated that a diploma holder in Music Dance and Drama lacks the capacity to run a country like Uganda.

“Someone with a diploma in Music Dance and Drama [MDD] wants to lead this country called Uganda. This is not a theater.”

Mukula’s comment has drawn a backlash from the public on social media.

NUP supporters have jammed the internet space with insults, opening old bones from the closet and others demanding to see the academic papers for the NRM presidential candidate as well.

This is not the first time that Mukula is blasting opposition candidates, in Katakwi, Mukula described the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) as a party for “democratic confusion.”

He was asking the people of Teso to ditch FDC presidential candidate Amuriat Oboi and vote for his candidate.

“People of Katakwi and Teso, don’t be emotional but rather rational. Teso is now peaceful and Uganda is now exporting peace under our second value in Somalia and South Sudan. FDC is a forum for democratic confusion,” Mukula said.
