5 National Unity Platform -NUP supporters have been knocked down.
The NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi has pointed accusing fingers at police and the military for killing his supporters.
Kyagulanyi says his supporters were killed by speeding police trucks after attending his rally at Nakifuma in the Mukono district.
The party says the deceased succumbed to injuries sustained from the incident.
however, other sources claim six NUP supporters were traveling in a super custom vehicle before it crashed in the middle of a sugar cane plantation at Nagojje.
The incident happened as police diverted Kyagulanyi’s convoy in an effort to deny him from accessing the major trading centers.
They have been rushed to Kawolo hospital in Lugazi municipality a critical condition in the intensive care unit.
One of the survivors Margret Ssimbwa the wife of the Nakifuma County NUP flag bearer Fred Ssimbwa, says the driver has lost control after police firing tear gas to stop them from following Kyagulanyi.
