The vibrant  National Resistance Movement- NRM secretary-general  Justine Kasule Lumumba will not be seen in the public eye for the next 2 weeks or more over COVID-19 concerns.

Lumumba has decided to go into self-isolation for after her 3 closest contacts tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

She has been directly working with the 3 during the ongoing campaigns.

Lumumba said in a statement on Monday evening that she was advised by scientists to immediately go into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure as she awaits her results.

She also said the campaign mobilization and coordination activities of the party secretariat will proceed as usual.

Uganda’s COVID-19 infections now stand at 20,459 with 8989 recoveries and 205 deaths.
