The senior presidential spokesperson Don Wanyama has scoffed at NUP’s strongman Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine for shooting himself in the leg by endorsing candidates under a party he claims to distaste.
Wanyama however says the rare moves Kyagulanyi is making by throwing his weight behind NRM candidates might as well finish with him rallying his own supporters to choose his main rival, Yoweri Museveni.
“Very soon, he’ll tell Ugandans to vote Kaguta Museveni, just watch the space,” Wanyama said.
Bobi wine has made a second attempt by openly supporting NRM MP flagbearers.
On Tuesday afternoon, while campaigning in Koboko, Bobi asked his supporters to vote for NRM’s Charles Ayume for the Koboko MP.
“I have studied Mr. Ayume for a long time and he inspires me. Today I tell the people of Koboko to vote for him. I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him, ” Bobi Wine said.
Prior to that, In Kamuli on Sunday, he equally expressed his support towards Kamuli woman MP aspirant and speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga, assuring his supporters that she had a special place in his new government.
