Sevo’s supporters are anxiously awaiting his arrival at Rukungiri Main Stadium, however, not all will have the chance to meet him.
Hundreds of National Resistance Movement-NRM party supporters clad in yellow t-shirts have flooded the roadsides.
Boda Boda riders donning on yellow T.shirts have also been mobilized to usher in the NRM party chairman, Yoweri Museveni as he seeks another presidential term in office.
Other supporters were seen marching through Rukungiri town ahead of Sevo’s campaign meeting.
However, the former ICT Minister and Rukungiri District NRM Chairperson, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi, who is coordinating the campaigns, says they will allow Sevo’s supporters to welcome him from the roadside but restrict the numbers on the inside of the stadium.
“Due to Covid-19, we shall only allow those that will present covid-19 free certificate but am appealing to all Rukungirians to stand alongside roads and wave to the president and our party Chairperson.”
Museveni will meet party leaders, candidates,s and a few party members at Rukungiri Main Stadium.
