Fearless Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat Oboi has informed the EC boss not to expect him in his office until Christmas time.

Amuriat claims he is too busy campaigning to squeeze time, traveling all the way to Kampala for a meeting he was ordered to attend in person.

He has instead informally given the EC boss Justice Simon Byabakama options.

”If the Electoral Commission wants to have a conversation with me, they can either find me in the field where we can spend an hour, but also with the modern technologies, they can find me on zoom, we can have a zoom meeting and agree. ”He said while speaking to journalists at Mountain Inn in Mbale City.

Besides that, Amuriat says he can also make time to the EC Ntinda based offices on Christmas day.

“We do not have the time to meet them. If we took one day off this program, we would not have time to come back to the areas we have not gone to,” The EC has to choose to meet us. If they want me in person, the only day that I have free is December 25th (Christmas), I will abide by their request and go meet with them on that day if it becomes necessary,” he added.

Amuriat was summoned to appear at the EC headquarters alongside National Unity Platform’s (NUP) flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine over disregarding the campaign guidelines.

Bobi Wine managed to make time to attend the meeting on Tuesday but Amuriat who claimed he would appear on Wednesday has since changed.

The FDC party through their Twitter handle has sarcastically indicated that they are waiting for the EC to prepare them luwombo ahead of the meeting on Christmas day.
