The National Unity Platform boss Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine claims the regime is witch-hunting him to portray him in a bad light before the public.
Bobi claims a video doing rounds on social media, showing that he doesn’t preach the message of wearing facemasks to his supporters is fake and edited.
”My words are always edited to fit their negative demands,” Bobi Said.
He was addressing the media briefly after a meeting with EC chief Justice Simon Byabakama in Ntinda.
”I don’t condone not wearing masks before I start my campaigns, I pull out a mask and wear it, and tell them to put on masks, and for those that don’t have, I tell them it is okay as long as your neighbor has one. ”Kyagulanyi explained
He however rebuked the government for wasting tax payer’s money meant for distributing face masks to do the job inadequately.
Bobi claims most of his supporters do not have masks on them because they were not given.
He adds that while on the floor of parliament, he asked for the postponement of the general elections since it is provided for under the law, but that was snubbed by the NRM MPs.
Bobi also added that the crowds he gets during his campaign meetings would be more limited if he was not denied access to radio and tv if musicians were given a chance to hold concerts as well.
