The Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate, Patrick Oboi Amuriat has had quite a dramatic day on Thursday after he raced with security officers and ended up being sprayed with pepper.

His Thursday morning begun in the Nakawa division where he made his first stop in Naguru Go-down market to meet a cheerful crowd of supporters singing and dancing to Kadodi.

Field Force Unit cops were swift in attempting to frustrate the merrymaking that lasted close to three minutes into Amuriat’s campaign but a fearless Amuriat went on with his speech Blaming Museveni for displacing residents from Naguru estates.

He assured the cops he would exit the spot of campaigns when his done.

”I speak in Naguru today with a lot of pain, where this place is being cleared to put up a housing estate, where Museveni and his crooks invaded many of you who lived in this estate for a very long time, and so the FDC government is going to resettle you so that the kind of houses here will be replaced by modern houses” he stated

 

He was later busted by police on his way to Nakawa market, here cops used pepper spray on him and also dispersed his supporters with teargas.

He was asked to proceed to Kawempe, his venue of the campaign but along the way, he turned back using a one-way road before crossing towards Shoprite Lugogo.

Police that had blocked the road followed him and again blocked him at Shoprite Lugogo.

Amuriat was escorted by several FDC politicians including Dr. Stella Nyanzi, Michael Kabaziguruka, Mugisha Moses Okwera, Alice Omony, Kennedy Okello among others.
