NUP strongman Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine has described as shameful reports from the security forces that his private guard died after falling off a speeding ride.
Frank Senteza died in Busega on Sunday while on his way to Kampala to transfer an injured Ghetto media journalist Ashraf Kasiye to Rubaga hospital alongside his boss and others.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday at the NUP head offices, Bobi has reiterated that a military truck intentionally ran over Senteza before reversing and finishing him off.
”Yesterday we showed you the extent of the damage on his skull and neck, which was broken in pieces. yet painfully when one of our comrades on security called Kawooya came out of the car to save Senteza, the military police descended on him and beat him up. The footage of the military beating the 23year old with gun butts for trying to save a life is there.”Bobi explained
On Monday, police revealed it was in the process of obtaining a court order to exhume the body of the deceased for a postmortem.
Fred Enanga the police mouthpiece says Bobi and the group decided to bury Senteza without performing a postmortem despite efforts on their part to get permission from the family for the necessary test.
“The body of the victim was released with post mortem forms, by Rubaga Hospital to close relatives and NUP members for them to transfer the body to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem analysis. Unfortunately, they diverted the Ambulance and the body of the victim to the NUP offices in Kamwokya, where a vigil was held,” the statement continues.
