The much-anticipated meeting between the Tumbiza sound hitmaker and officials from the  Ministry of Health and Uganda Communication Commission(UCC) has yielded good fruits.

Singer Eric Opoka aka Eezzey will now be financed to release a remix in both the audio and video of his Tumbiza Sound song with messages telling the public to observe Covid-19 guidelines.

Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the spokesperson Ministry of Health said in a tweet that they have agreed to guide the artist in the next song, and his song will create awareness.

“We had a meeting with Eric Opoka alias Eezzey. We reached an amicable solution of a remix of the hit Tumbiza sound. All will be in the name of creating awareness on COVID-19 prevention and supporting his talent,”he stated.

This is after the song was banned from playing on all airwaves by the UCC after a complaint from the ministry of health that it was violating efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 guidelines.

MOH claims the song contains messages contradicting standard operating procedures SOPs like encouraging people to visit bars and nightclubs and later asking the MOH to quarantine people inside bars for fourteen days.
