It is coming to a month since Tech giants, Facebook fired blogger Ashburg Katto and other ‘Yellow Bus passengers’ off their App.
Ashburg, Full Figure, Olaxess Isma, promoter Bajjo and other bloggers who had turned their guns against NUP’s darling, Bobi Wine in favor of Sevo had all their Facebook pages and accounts deleted with no fuss.
Facebook revealed that it’s no-nonsense men swung into action and eliminated these fellows because they were seeking to manipulate public debate ahead of elections which were held on 14th January.
“This month, we removed a network of accounts and pages in Uganda that engaged in CIB (Coordinated Inauthentic Behaviour) to target public debate ahead of the election,” Facebook’s head of communication for sub-Saharan Africa, Kezia Anim-Addo, said in an email.
“They used fake and duplicate accounts to manage pages, comment on other people’s content, impersonate users, re-share posts in groups to make them appear more popular than they were”, he added.
When Ashburg realized that the worse had come to the worst, he ran at a speed equivalent to that of Usein Bolt and immediately reported Zukerberg to Sevo with hopes of saving his balls. He dropped his knees and begged the Fountain of Honor to block accessibility of Facebook App and all other social media platforms affiliated to the app. Of course Sevo did just that…the rest is history.
Now today Ashburg has officially vowed never to use Facebook again. In a recorded video clip, the young lad in his early 30’s lamented how he is now broke and jobless because his only source of daily bread is no more.
“Facebook has been my father, my mother, my girlfriend and my source of income, but I am officially quitting because of political differences”, he said before threatening to teach Zuckerberg lesson.
“…i want to send this message to my friend and mentor, Mark Zuckerberg…you have only one year and yes i mean it, only one year. If i don’t receive a call from you to me direct within that space, trust me or believe me, that will be the end of Facebook in Africa”, teary Ashburg roared.
But now, is he day dreaming or something? How will he be able to do it?
Well, we shall wait and witness this Ash-miracle performed.
