The Startimes Uganda Premier League continues on Friday and at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende as we witness a top of the table clash with defending champions, Vipers SC hosting highly firing Police FC.
After seven Matchdays, Police FC sit top of the Startimes UPL log with 16 points so far, just one ahead of Vipers who are still unbeaten in second.
Siraje Sentamu is also fit to start against the Cops, having been rested against Kyetume on Tuesday.
For Abdullah Mubiru, He will still be without club’s last season’s top scorer Ben Ocen, Frank Tumwesigye, Bashir Kabuye, Edward Kiryowa and Samuel Kayongo who are sidelined with injuries.
Coming into this game, the leaders Police FC defeated BUL FC 2-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo to claim their 5th win of the season while Vipers SC had to come twice from behind to secure a 2-all draw away at Kyetume at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
Coach Abdullah Mubiru whose side has not beaten Vipers since 2017 believes his charges can outcompete the Venoms’ in their backyard.
