Asan Kasingye Escapes prison but fined…
The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Police FC Chairman Mr. Asan Kasingye for violating Article 39(2) of the FUFA Ethics Code which provides that; Persons bound by this Code are forbidden from making any public statements of a defamatory nature towards FUFA and /or towards any other person bound by this code in the context of FUFA events.
Following his misconduct on 19th February, 2021 when his Club lost 3-2 against Vipers SC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende, chairman Uganda Police FC has been fined with 2.5M.
And if AIGP Asan Kasingye doesn’t comply he stands a chance of being banned from any football related activities for a period of six months.
It should be recalled that in the Uganda Premier League fixture between Vipers SC and Uganda Police FC, AISP Asan Kasingye went to the pitch touchline in protest of referee’s call to award the Cops’ custodian, Derrick Ochan with a red card.
By the time the punished announced to him, Kasingye was eagerly waiting for it because once on his twitter handle, he said that FUFA should hurry to punish him.
