Comedians Bizonto Appear In Court
Controversial City comedians Bizonto are scheduled to appear at the Buganda Road court at 2 pm on Friday after being arrested again.
The group was picked up this morning while on their way to do radio duty.

They were arrested in July last year over a recorded video where they mockingly prayed for Uganda’s top leaders in a skit titled who are our leaders? The seven-minute skit which was uploaded on July 15, 2020, has attracted more than 11,000 views on YouTube alone.
In the musical play the tagged ‘’Who are Our Leaders’’, Bizonto offer a brief prayer for a list of all persons holding top positions in security and financial sectors in the country
Their list was elaborate in names and positions including President Museveni, his son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the senior presidential advisor on special operations, Chief of Defence Forces Gen David Muhoozi, Bank of Uganda Governor Tumusiime Mutebile, Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary Keith Muhakanizi, Commissioner General of Prisons Dr. Johnson Byabashaija, Minister of Security Gen Elly Tumwine, Internal Security Organisation boss Col Bagyenda Kaka, Chief of Military Intelligence Maj Gen Abel Kandiho, then commander of the Special Forces Command Maj Gen James Birungi, and the Electoral Commission chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama.
They were first arrested in July last year and remained in custody for a number of days before being released.
In their defense, the comedians claim the skit served the purpose of educating young people about their leaders and the need to offer a prayer for them
