Lawyer Bob Kasango Drama
Seems like the woes surrounding the wife and relatives to fallen City lawyer Bob Kasango are not about to end.
Word reaching us now is that the deceased counsel’s burial has been postponed following a stalemate between his ancestral relatives and his wife over where to bury him.
The deceased’s mother Rose Kabise, wants him to be buried in Tororo while the wife Nice Bitarabeho Kasango, and the eldest son Samora Paul Kasango insist he should be laid to rest in Fort portal.
Speaking to the Daily Monitor newspaper on the Phone, Bitarabeho maintains that no agreement has been reached as of now and the burial date is still unknown.
“The discussions between Kasango’s next of kin who are the wife and children and the extended family of his mother’s side are still ongoing. No consensus has been reached. The extended family of his mother’s side, and not his father’s side, none of whom is Kasango’s clan, have made it their business to decide where he should rest,” Bitarabeho said.

Kasango died of heart failure at Luzira prison after battling his deteriorating illness in jail where he was locked up for 3 years.
Following his death, Kasango was slated to be buried in Fort portal at his wife’s home but his ancestral relatives from Japadola land in Tororo couldn’t have it.
On Tuesday, the fuming relatives stormed the All Saints Cathedral in Nakasero, Kampala where a requiem mass was taking place, and grabbed his body outside the church before it would be taken to Fort portal for burial.
The relatives alleged that Kasaango is Japadhola from Tororo district and is to be buried at Wekusi village, Karandi parish, Kirewa sub-county in Tororo district and not Fort Portal as earlier planned.
