Now Nabadda Maureen vows to sue Ssegirinya to court for using her academic documents without consent. She has already instructed her lawyers
If any one of you happens to visit Muhammad Ssegirinya aka Mr. Update in Kitalya Prison, please kindly inform him that things are worsening on his side.
The troublesome politician was denied bail after appearing before Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu.
He was subsequently remanded to Kitalya Prison for two weeks on charges of inciting violence.
Ssegirinya was arrested on Monday at Mini Price in downtown Kampala as he attempted to lead a protest demanding for the release of National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters being detained incommunicado.
But as you may know that his chances to step in parliament are now hanging by a thread after his political rival, Suleiman Kidandala sued him for using forged academic documents. Last week Kidandala petitioned court, challenging Ssegirinya’s academic credentials and indeed the court instructed UNEB to grant him access to everything he wanted.
It turned out that while getting nominated as a candidate for the said political post, Mr. Update submitted in forged academic documents.
“We have checked in our records and our findings are as follows; Candidate U005/054(2007) is Nampiima Sarah who sat at Mengo secondary school, not Ssegirinya Richard. Candidate U0053/754(2009) IS Nabadda Maureen who sat at Mengo Secondary School, not Ssegirinya Richard…” UNEB’s Peter Anywar noted In a letter dated March 17, 2021.
Now Nabadda Maureen has vowed to squeeze Ssegirinya’s balls in courts of law for using her academic documents without consent.
A visibly irate and determined Maureen swears to pump sense into Ssegirinya just to teach him lesson.
“The laws are put in place to help people like us. What Ssegirinya did is impersonation and he must account for it in courts of law. He used my documents without my consent. Am going to sue and l have already instructed my lawyers to do the needful. I need justice period”, Nalwadda roared in an interview with a local Vlog.
